The Norman and Moor invasions came by sea; the sea was the main character of very important episodes in Mugardos’ history. The sea and the sea-related industry are and have been the sustenance and source of wealth of most of the inhabitants of Mugardos.
The fishing village features, the gastronomy, the layout of the streets, the architecture, the ruggedness of its land… Everything in Mugardos revolves around the sea, a sea where the octopus is the king and indisputable protagonist of its growing reputation as a tourist town.
